Sat, May 08, 2021 • 8:00 PM at Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater, FL

One of the most popular rock and roll bands of the late '70s, Kansas got its start in the American heartland of Topeka, Kan., in 1970. The original band was comprised of guitarist Kerry Livgren, bassist Dave Hope and drummer Phil Ehart. After many permutations back and forth between another band, White Clover, the group eventually coalesced into Kansas with Ehart, Hope, Livgren, Steve Walsh, Robby Steinhardt and Rich Williams. Kansas is known for its distinctive mix of boogie and progressive rock. Fans everywhere are familiar with its iconic songs from the '70s like "Carry On Wayward Son," "Dust in the Wind" and "Hold On."
